2017 Glammy Awards
Joe Damico was born in the midst of WWII to an Italian-American family in Pittsburgh. In true Italian style, he grew up with a passion for food and a blessed childhood anchored by a devoted grandfather who mentored him in boxing, leading Joe to many golden glove championships.
Drafted to serve in Vietnam, Joe was awarded two Purple Hearts for bravery. Upon re-entering civilian life, he began his career in the automotive industry where his natural-born talents and disciplines brought many successes; including a five-year stint in England, where at the helm he built a large automotive sub-prime business.
It wasn’t until the sunset years of his life that he found Irene, his special lady, who is his partner on this ‘magic carpet ride’, along with their blended family of white Persian cats.
His natural altruism along with personal health challenges dealing with the collateral damage of Agent Orange exposure has driven Joe to jump in and help Glam-A-THON™ wherever needed. He has secured exciting silent auction donation items for the organization over the years, leading to increased financial donations to Broward Health Foundation. This year, Joe has raised the ante even more and decided to put his fundraising skills into overdrive upon accepting the nomination to become a Glam-A-THON GLAMMY recipient. Glam-A-THON™ proudly congratulates Joe Damico for becoming a distinguished 2018 GLAMMY honoree..

Some people dream of an amazing life, but Jennifer Tallow actually has one. During her very successful career as an international management consultant, Jennifer worked primarily in Europe, South America, and the Caribbean. She has traveled the world for work and pleasure, and is planning a trip to Antarctica next winter to check off the one remaining continent on her bucket list. With all that travel, one would think she is strapped for time, but this diva doesn’t let time stand in her way. Jennifer is the immediate past President of the 1000+ Women’s Club to Benefit Cancer, Inc., with responsibilities for fundraising, marketing, and membership growth. During her Presidency, she envisioned and produced “Under the Tree of Hope," a video that illustrates the powerful work of the 1000+ Women’s Club to assist cancer organizations in the community through its grant program. Throughout Jennifer’s administration more than $235,000 was raised and donated to benefit charitable organizations in Broward County.
But her philanthropic work doesn’t end there; she is also a member of Cystic Fibrosis Gold Coast Guild, Pinion, and Memorial's Pink Angels. Jen can be seen at a multitude of events to benefit local nonprofit initiatives including Gilda's Club, Debbie's Dream Foundation, Broward Health, Jessica June Children's Cancer Foundation, Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies, Bella's Group, Women In Distress, HANDY, Glam-A-THON and Harvest Drive.
Teaching and mentoring has always been important to her, and Jennifer loves the opportunity to develop young minds as a teacher for Walden University. Jen knows that all work and no play would be dreadfully boring, which is why she relishes her personal time. If she is not jetting off on an exotic vacation, you can find her on the tennis courts in a competitive match, enjoying Pilates, reading or a game of Bridge, and for those who know her, she loves adding to her extraordinary eclectic jewelry collection.
